Matrix ICT Services was set up in 2003 following 2 years of lengthy research and feasibility study in Croydon. The main aim of the research was to find out what changes school leaders wanted from the ICT support services available. Within 18 months of launch Matrix became the largest independent supplier of ICT support services in Croydon. Matrix now employs over 25 dedicated staff, supporting over 200 schools and covers most of London and the Home Counties.
Matrix combines strategic ICT consultancy, to help equip schools with the correct resources and training, together with ICT technical support for both curriculum and admin systems to make sure the resources work reliably. With a unique holistic approach, Matrix transfers relevant knowledge to help schools take more control of ICT, accelerating their development and helping schools work towards an ICT Mark. An ICT Mark is a government accreditation awarded to schools that excel in their understanding and use of ICT. Matrix enables each school to proactively increase pupils’ attainment through cross curricular and embedded creative use of ICT.
Matrix has experience in all aspects of strategic development and technical support and is dedicated to the education sector only.
Matrix is best placed to unravel the enormous amount of information and guidance available to make sure schools make effective development decisions. This accelerates their ICT development and saves substantial time and funding.
Matrix will help schools take more control of ICT by:
Accelerating a school’s ICT development and awareness, enabling it to become an effective and creative user of ICT in a rapidly growing digital world, to help engage pupils and parents, to enhance learning and teaching to facilitate whole school improvement.
Delivering a range of holistic added value, independent and impartial ICT support services, helping schools to establish an integrated and reliable whole school ICT solution, to enable unanimous use of current and future technologies for learning, teaching and general school administration.
Freeing time spent by Senior Leaders, Middle Leaders and other school staff who endeavour to translate current ICT directives and initiatives into real added value resources themselves, helping schools to embrace technologies confidently and efficiently.
