Strategic Vision
Our Strategic Vision
"Achieving Whole School Improvement through effective and creative use of ICT"

We believe that ICT has the power to engage, motivate, enhance and develop all learners of any age from anywhere.

Our philosophy is based around whole school improvement and not based around resources. We have education consultants and support specialists who have a long pedigree of school improvement and many years experience of working in schools.

Our experience coupled with our vision for schools makes us unique in the area of supporting schools. Our support can transform the way your school works in the 21st Century.

“Used well, technology enables more effective and more personalised teaching and learning. It improves planning of teaching and learning, makes the learning experience more dynamic and allows education and learning professionals to engage more effectively with learners.”

Core Strategic Services

Consultancy, Training and Resource Management for your school

Our Core Strategic Service incorporates the Strategic Baseline Assessment Service and is intended to create a longer term relationship with your school.

The Core Strategic Service provides schools with:

  • Regular reviews with the senior leadership team
  • ICT Subject leader support and development
  • Cross-curricular support for other subject leaders
  • Qualified staff to work alongside teachers in the classroom to develop ICT in any subject
  • Professional development
  • Bespoke services for ICT
  • Project management, ICT procurement and infrastructure installations

The service seeks to:

  • Develop and continually update a clear whole school ICT vision
  • Ensure schools make effective ICT development decisions
  • Save a significant amount of management staff and ICT Leader time during an academic year.
  • Inspire creativity, engage and motivate staff and pupils’ use of ICT
  • Boost staff confidence in the use of ICT through on site training on the school’s ICT resources
  • Share good ICT practice amongst schools
  • Carry out a full ICT Infrastructure and Resource review with senior management to discuss the future needs of the school. This will centre on the creative use of ICT and make sure your school is aware of the resources they will need
  • Integrating admin and curriculum systems to carry out electronic registration and assessment across the school
  • Review of staff skills, knowledge and understanding of the creative use of ICT to engage pupils
  • London MLE (Fronter) development

Our service is based on a cyclical model as we believe that reflection and review are key aspects to improvement. The graphic to the left shows how we approach the service with your school. The service is:

  • A review and analysis of your current status
  • Implementing the outcomes of the comprehensive report
  • Monitoring its success over the period of the service
  • Reflecting on progress

This helps schools to start thinking about longer term ICT development and ensuring progress is made.

Schools who have taken this service have benefited not only with their direction, vision and planning but with practical middle leader development, in-classroom co-teaching, professional development/training.

Our Strategic Services are aligned with the Government’s Self Review Framework for ICT which was introduced in April 2006. This helps us to help your school move along the Government ICT roadmap and benchmark how we have helped your school over time.

What to do Next?

We would like to visit your school to introduce our services and discuss how they will have a significant impact on school improvement.

This visit will take about an hour of your time. During the visit we will provide you with key information about the current and future use of ICT and how it relates to your school

This will allow you to guide your school in the right ICT direction even if you don’t subscribe to any service.

Baseline Assessment Service

The Strategic Baseline Assessment is a highly informative and thought provoking service. All the schools that have undergone this assessment are now making outstanding progress in their development of their use of ICT in every aspect of the school.

The Strategic Baseline Assessment provides each school with a detailed report on their current status with ICT and provides practical, realistic and critical information about how the school can progress towards e–confidence status.

After the report is complete, a Development Plan closely matched to your School
Development/Improvement Plan is produced with highly relevant Action Plans.

All schools that have undertaken our Baseline Assessment are now well on track for reaching e-confidence status.

ICT Mark

We also have an accredited ICT Mark Assessor who can support your school with either doing the ICT Mark Accreditation or assessing our readiness to achieve the Mark.

‘The ICT Mark defines schools’ achievements in reaching a standard of maturity in their use of technology. Schools accredited with the ICT Mark standard are demonstrating that they are committed to using technology to improve their overall effectiveness and efficiency. BECTA’s own analysis of Ofsted reports indicates that achievement of ICT mark status has a much broader impact upon whole school improvement.

ICT Mark status schools are:

  • Four times more likely to be rated as ‘outstanding’ in the category “overall effectiveness of the school”
  • Three times more likely to be rated as ‘outstanding’ in the achievement and standards category
  • Three times more likely to be rated as ‘outstanding’ in the leadership and management category
  • Four times more likely to be rated as ‘outstanding’ in the teaching and learning category’
